When you create an account, we collect your username, email address (if provided), and hashed password. We also store your learning progress, chat history with the AI tutor, and any content you create (goals, curricula, teaching methods).

How We Use Data

Your data is used to: provide and improve AI tutoring, track your learning progress, personalize teaching methods, and enable goal sharing if you choose to publish. Chat history is used to maintain conversation context during tutoring sessions.

Data Storage

Your data is stored on our servers. Chat messages and session data are retained to provide context-aware tutoring. You can delete your account at any time by contacting us, which will remove your personal data.

AI Processing

When you interact with the AI tutor, your messages and relevant context (subtopic, teaching plan) are sent to third-party AI providers (Google Gemini, OpenAI, Anthropic) for response generation. We do not use your data to train AI models.

Cookies

We use a JWT token stored in your browser's localStorage for authentication. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics.

Third Parties

We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with third parties except as necessary to provide the service (AI providers, email delivery for password resets).
